Description

NACIDO EN MURCIA EN TORNO A 1820, HIJO DE ANTONIO ARNAO LORENTE Y CONCEPCION ESPINOSA DE LOS MONTEROS Y MARTINEZ.

Perteneciente a un album personal de la cantante Sofia Vela Querol († Madrid 1909). Cantante, pianista, arpista y compositora, cuyo triunfo profesional estuvo muy ligado a la corte de Isabel II. Era hija de Mariano Vela de Aguirre, vicepresidente de la Sociedad Médica de Madrid, y de Andrea Querol. Estuvo casada con el poeta Antonio Arnao y Espinosa de los Monteros (de cuyo matrimonio tuvo tres hijas, Concepción, Carmen y Asunción, estas dos últimas, casadas con los hermanos Lorenzo y Francisco Aguilar Cuadrado, hijos del científico Antonio Aguilar y Vela). Legó al Museo del Prado el retrato que le pintó y regaló Federico de Madrazo y Kuntz, en 1850, de cuya familia fue gran amiga.
