Description

Mapa de Catalunya, que se publico en la obra "Novus Atlas, das ist Abbildung....." en Amsterdam. De este mapa su primera edicion fue en 1634, y este es la edicion francesa de 1642. Destaca esta obra por su dos rosas del viento y las distintas naves que adornaban el mapa. Tiene abundante toponimia y dibuja su red hidrografica mas importante, a la vez el cartografo dibuja los puentes principales para cruzar los diversos rios. Destaca el mapa porque incluye la Cerdanya Francesa y el Rosellon que fueron cedidos posteriormente a Francia por el Tratado de los Pirineos en 1660. Tambien es de los pocos mapas que nos dibuja el Valle de Aran, dado que en aquella epoca los incorporaban en Francia o incluso en reino de Aragon. Coloreado de la epoca. Tiene una pequeña falta de papel que no afecta al mapa, ver fotografias.
