Cuadernos con 64 páginas en blanco y negro, más cubiertas en color. Tebeos encuadernados con lomo, con las páginas encoladas, que contuvieron la traducción de la publicación a modo de revista Planet of the Apes de Marvel Comics, adaptación cinematográfica basada en los personajes de la saga cinematográfica pero no de los filmes en concreto.

Las características de estos tebeos fueron variando con el tiempo, de esta forma:

Encuadernación:
- con lomo encolado los nºs 1 a 14 y 28 y 29; y
- con grapas los nºs 15 a 27.

Páginas:
- 84 el nº 1;
- 68 los nºs 2 a 7;
- 60 los nºs 8 a 26; y
- 52 los nºs 27 a 29.

Llevo notación V.2 en cubierta pese a ser anterior en el tiempo a la otra serie titulada igualmente; es posible que se deba a que existió un tebeo anterior titulado EL PLANETA DE LOS MONOS: el núm. 2 de la colección RELATOS SALVAJES
