¿Qué determina el valor de un cartel antiguo original? 
El diseñador del cartel, su escasez, la condición (ver más adelante la descripción), y la calidad, junto con la popularidad del tema tratado, no necesariamente en este orden, determinan su valor. 
Condición: Las calificaciones descritas a continuación representan los estándares generalmente aceptados para evaluar el estado de un cartel. Un “+” o ”-“ puede describir la condición de un artículo determinado. Sin embargo, estas valoraciones son subjetivas y pueden variar, según la opinión del vendedor. Los carteles se pueden encontrar entelados o en papel Japón adheridos con un adhesivo libre de ácidos. 
ESTADO “A": El cartel está en excelente condición. Los colores son frescos y no hay pérdida de papel. Si hubiera un ligero desgarre, o pliegues, son muy discretos. 
ESTADO "B": El cartel está en buenas condiciones. Los colores son aceptables. Aunque hubiera una ligera pérdida de papel, tal vez evidente, no distrae la atención (visión) de la imagen. La restauración, en su caso, no sería excesivamente aparente. 
ESTADO "C": El cartel está en aceptable condición. Los colores se desvanecen, y puede haber indicios de una amplia restauración. Los pliegues si existieran serían más visibles, y existe la posibilidad de pérdida de papel. 
What determines the value of an original vintage poster? 
A poster's designer, its scarcity, condition (see below for description), and quality, along with the popularity of its subject matter determine its value, not necessarily in this order. 
Condition: The ratings described below represent generally accepted standards for assessing the condition of a poster. A '+' or '-' may further describe the condition of a particular item. However, these ratings are subjective and may vary, based on the opinion of the seller. Posters may be found on linen or Japan paper backing, with an acid free adhesive. 
"A" Condition: the poster is in fine condition. The colors are fresh and there is no paper loss. If there is a slight tear, or folds, it is very unobtrusive. 
"B" Condition: the poster is in good condition. The colors are acceptable. While slight paper loss maybe evident, it does not distract from the image. Restoration, if any, is not immediately apparent. 
"C" Condition: the poster is in fair condition. Colors are faded, and there are signs of more extensive restoration. Existing folds are more visible, and possibly minor paper loss.
