Description

"Fanchette", " Terrery" y "Sacristán" son los nombres de tres caballos pura sangre inglés, inscritos en el año 1886 en el Registro-matrícula de pura sangre creado tres años antes, en 1883, por Real Orden del Ministerio de Fomento que presidía el Duque de Fernán-Nuñez.

Estos tres caballos vinieron de Francia de la mano de su ya propietario, el marqués de Villamejor, Gonzalo de Figueroa y Torres. Este hombre, alcalde de Madrid entre 1904 y 1905, ostentó los títulos de I Duque de las Torres y Conde de Mejorada del Campo.

En 1906 formó parte del Comité Olímpico Internacional.

La inscripción se realizó por el secretario del Registro Manuel Gutiérrez Herrån. El sello con la tasa de 0, 75 pesetas es muy bonito.
