Description

Confesión de deuda de Joseph Guillalmet del Poble de les Avellanes en 1799.

Les Avellanes o Las Avellanas era un pueblo en la comarca de la Noguera en la provincia de Lerida.

Es conocido por existir una antigua abadía o monasterio de canónigos, sustentada por los Condes de Urgel, siendo la comunidad premostratense más importante de Cataluña. Tras su desamortización en 1835, el banquero Santesmasses compró el edificio y vendió los sarcófagos de los condes de urgel, estando actualmente en el Museo The Cloisters en Nueva York.
