"Mirant la regata", "Paseig del mar" y "Mirant el cuadre". Artista: ALEXANDRE MATAS I CONCHILLO (Sant Feliu de Guíxols 1942-2008)El artista nacido en San Feliu de Guíxols (Gerona) en 1942, comenzó su formación en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios local y desde 1959 participó en exposiciones colectivas. En 1966 realizó su primera exposición individual en Playa de Aro, consolidando su carrera como pintor al año siguiente. Su obra, de inspiración impresionista, destaca por su representación poética de paisajes urbanos y marinos con un fuerte protagonismo del color y la luz. Además de la pintura, incursionó en el cine experimental. En 1972 comenzó a producir películas en formato 8 mm, y fundó el grupo Ninots, con el que realizó cortometrajes premiados internacionalmente, como Preludi en ja y Missió espacial. Su obra se caracteriza por una sólida estructura compositiva, dominio del dibujo y una rica paleta cromática, reflejando una interpretación emocional y naturalista del entorno. Sus trabajos están presentes en museos como el de Bellas Artes de Santander, la Catedral de Gerona y la Pinacoteca de Palamós.
