Description

Alexandre de Riquer: (Calaf, 1856-Palma de Mallorca, 1920) Pintor, dibujante y grabador español. Viajó a Roma, París y Londres, donde conectó con el Aesthetic Movement y el Arts and Crafts. Maestro de las artes aplicadas, fundó un taller de ebanistería, realizó muebles, vidrieras, hierros artísticos, etc., y creó una escuela de grafismo, destacando sus carteles y ex-libris. Ilustró numerosos libros y revistas y descolló como poeta. Como pintor cabe destacar su Asunción y San Francisco y los pájaros.
