Artista: Joan Hernández Pijuan Barcelona, España, 1931-2005 Nació en 1931 y murió en 2005. En 1953 realizó su primera exposición mostrando un estilo expresionista y con resonancia existencial. El Museo Municipal de Mataró organizó su primera exposición individual en 1955 y poco después fue uno de los fundadores del "Grupo Silex" junto con Carles Planell, Eduard Alcoy y Lázaro y Josep Maria Rovira y Requesón. En 1957 se mudó a París, donde estudió grabado y litografía en la Escuela de Bellas Artes, adoptando una figuración geométrica donde los elementos solitarios (frutas, tazas, huevos, nubes, etc.) se destacan sobre fondos y campos llanos de tonos grises y grises. Los colores verdes que incluyen elementos matemáticos como las cuadrículas, sugieren una atmósfera mágica. Hasta mediados de los años ochenta no vuelve al informalismo.
