J. L. Gálán Costa, es un pintor español nacido en 1925, muy conocido por sus marinas y por la representación del paisaje y la arquitectura tradicional de la isla de Gran Canaria, todo ello bañado de la intensa luz ambiental característica de este archipiélago.

Aristóteles Onassis, Winston Churchill, Manuel Fraga, Alvarez del Manzano y Adolfo Suárez, entre muchos otras personalidades, tienen, o tuvieron, obra del pintor, conocido como Galán.
