Enric C Ricart fue uno de los más prestigiosos grabadores al boj del Novecentismo. Formando con Francisco de Asís Galí fue profesor en la Escuela de Bellas Artes y Oficios de la Mancomunidad,  miembro del Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc y uno de los fundadores de la Agrupación Courbet. En París estuvo en contacto con la vanguardia pero no quiso alejarse de la equilibrada forma clasicista que le proporcionaba el Novecentismo. También cultivó la pintura pero fue en el campo del grabado con el que consiguió el reconocimiento mayor.
