Since May 1939, the monthly magazine Hunting Fishing has been renamed Soviet Hunter Journal. The Soviet Hunting Journal (the official organ of the People's Commissariat of Procurements of the USSR, until # 4 in 1939 was called Hunting Fishing Fishing, after the Soviet Hunter) was the main and only proper hunting magazine in Soviet Russia in the second half of the 1930s (without a pronounced military accent).
