Andrés Piquer Arrufat (Herbés, Castellón, 1711 - Madrid 1772) was a physician and philosopher. In 1751 he was named physician to the king Fernando VI. This work on fevers describes the various types of fever, their causes, symptoms and cures. It was first publishe din 1751 and saw five editions in Spanish, as well as a Frenchj translation.
