Como es sabido Zenit comenzó tomando una Zorki (copia perfecta de la Leica II) y poniéndole encima un pentaprisma (literal!). Luego fue evolucionando, pero siempre mantuvo el obturador de la Leica II, que iba del 1/30 al 1/500. Una de las limitaciones de las Zenit. No vamos a explicar aquí toda su historia, pero esta mantiene el fotómetro de selenio de otras anteriores y el resto de sus características, autodisparador incluido. Aunque las primeras Zenit llevaban todavía la rosca de 39mm esta es ya de 42mm. El calculador de exposición, acoplado al fotómetro, vale por sí por un curso de fotografía. Por lo demás cámara sencilla y dura, ideal para iniciarse en la fotografía analógica.
