Romance on the bridge- Roby Benson and Glynnis O´Connor are the young Delta sweethearts in "Ode to Billy Joe", which Max Baer directed for Warner Bros. Release. The film is based on the famous country-western song by Bobbie Gentry who may be heard singing it again on the soun track. Filmed entirely in Mississippi where the Tallahatchie floes, the motion picture was produced by Baer and Roger Camras from a screenplay by Herman Raucher.
