Description

Itoiz es el álbum debut, homónimo, de la banda vasca Itoiz, publicado originalmente en 1978. Considerado una obra esencial en la historia del rock hecho en Euskadi, este disco fue un hito que definió el estilo inicial del grupo, que aún se distanciaba de su pasado como orquesta de verbena (Indar Trabes).

El estilo es una fusión magistral de Rock Progresivo y Folk Progresivo, con fuertes influencias sinfónicas y toques de jazz-rock. La música se caracteriza por sus composiciones complejas, el uso destacado de la flauta (Joseba Erkiaga), los teclados (órgano Hammond, piano Rhodes) y la guitarra.
