Entre todos ellos se teje una trama común que reivindica la naturaleza esencialmente carnal de la experiencia artística. El ensayo que da título al libro se refiere a "la otra orilla de la vanguardia", como dice él, al arte creado por locos y presidiarios. Una creación que responde a un impulso ingobernable, desinteresado y fuera del sistema.
