Ilustrado no texto com tabelas, e em extratexto com figuras de instrumentos marítimos a preto e branco. Exemplar com desgaste de mansuseamento, manchas de oxidação nos cortes do miolo, apontamentos a lápis nas folhas de guarda anteriores e páginas 83 a 86 e 131 a 134 soltas do miolo. Contém anotação do autor na folha de rosto, informando ao leitor que a informação das tabelas da obra fora sincronizada com o almanaque náutico para o ano seguinte ao da publicação (1874).
