La obra se estructura en torno a cuatro academias, que incorporan elementos variados, especialmente poeías burlesca, pero también relaciones en verso tomadas directamente de comedias de Pedro Calderón de la Barca y una pieza dramática con su loa y entremés. Incluye tambiéen otros dos entremeses, además de secretos de la naturaleza

Tomo único, porque la obra es continuación de la que publicó Antonio Sánchez Tórtoles en 1673.
