Al primero de los volúmenes se le ha abierto la tela en uno de los laterales del lomo, pero las cuerdas siguen cosidas a las tapas. Con nombre de anterior propietario, Manuel Vergara Bayen. Con sellos de la “Imprenta y Librería Julián Sanz, Zaragoza”.

El escoces Alexander Dyce, historiador y editor literario, en el momento de su muerte había tenía una valiosa biblioteca repleta de libros raros isabelinos. Sus lecturas en la literatura isabelina le permitieron aprender mucho sobre Shakespeare, escritor cuyas obras había publicado y sobre el que escribió parte de su biografía.
