La orquesta Original de Manzanillo es una orquesta tipo charanga. Utiliza como instrumento de viento solamente la flauta, por lo que su timbre es melodioso y agradable. Es eminentemente sonera, aunque incursiona por otros géneros de la música popular como el merengue dominicano, la cumbia colombiana, la bomba puertorriqueña y versiones del cancionero nacional y latinoamericano.

The Orquesta Original de Manzanillo is an orchestra type brass band. The flute uses as wind instrument only, for what his stamp is melodious and agreeable. It is eminently sonera, though it penetrates for other kinds of the popular music as the Dominican meringue, the Colombian cumbia, the Puerto Rican bomb and versions of the national and Latin-American song-book.
