Precioso esmalte al fuego de 27cm X 18cm de Montserrat Mainar Benedicto.

Montserrat Mainar nace en Barcelona en 1928 y muere en Barcelona en el 2015. Hija de José Mainar y Pons , se formó en la Escuela Massana con Miquel Soldevila. Interesada por las nuevas aplicaciones de la técnica del esmalte, hizo la primera exposición individual en Barcelona en 1957. Fue cofundadora de los Salones de Mayo y de Arte Femenino. Ganó el gran premio de esmalte de la Bienal Hispanoamericana de Arte de 1956 y fue invitada a la muestra internacional de joyería del Victoria and Albert Museum de Londres (1961). Entre sus obras sobresale el frontal del altar mayor de Montserrat (1958) y también las series inspiradas en Homero y en el Tirant lo Blanc . Recibió también el premio de la Bienal de Limoges (1975).
