Description

Crucifixión de San Pedro (invertida). Acuarela de finales del Siglo XIX o principios del XX. Ratificado su autor (Alphonse Van de Catsyer) con su técnica calígrafa en la nota de época (al dorso).

Ejecución limpia con soluciones minimalistas y maestría en escorzos. Gama de colores y limpieza de dibujo y de su composición. No hay rectificaciones ni arrepentimientos.

El autor insiste más en la paz que en el patetismo. Colores fríos combinados sabiamente con tornasolado generalizado. Hay un cierto neoclacisismo en la indeferencia y pose de algunos personajes.

Medidas: Acuarela (21 X 14 cms); con marco (39 x 32 cms).
