This volume is in Fine but for a small amount of creasing to the spine. It is in Trade Paperback format and it resides within a stiff plastic translucent slipcase. The volume is 400 pages of black and white as well as color photographs from the greatest photographers of the twentieth century. There is a 32 page introduction regarding the collection. Most of the photographs involve nudity. The photos are artistic and beautiful and the book makes a wonderful presentation as well as a discreet one. 'Love and Desire' has been called 'The Most extraordinary survey of human passion between covers'. It is a sequel to William A. Ewing's acclaimed photography collection 'The Body'. Here the highly regarded art critic and curator surveys 150 years of photographic history exploring how the camera has been used to express the elusive ideas and thoughts and sentiments related to the most powerful of human emotions.
