Mark Antliff is Associate Professor of Art History at Duke University and author of Inventing Bergson: Cultural Politics and the Parisian Avant-Garde (Princeton University Press, 1993). With Matthew Affron he co-edited Fascist Visions: Art and Ideology in France and Italy (Princeton University Press, 1997). He is currently completing two books: The Advent of Fascism: Art, Myth and Ideology in France 1909-1940 and Modernism and Aesthetic Closure: Fauvism, Cubism, Futurism.
Patricia Leighten is Professor and Chair of Art History at Duke University and author of Re-Ordering the Universe: Picasso and Anarchism, 1897-1914 (Princeton University Press, 1989) and A Politics of Form: Art, Anarchism and Audience in Avant-Guerre France (University of Chicago Press, forthcoming). She and Mark Antliff are currently co-editing A Cubism Reader, 1906-1914 (University of Chicago Press, forthcoming). She serves on the Editorial Boards of Modernism/modernity and Duke University Press.
