, aparte de servir para inutilizar el sello, sus puntos limados servían para perforar el sello dejándolo inservible hasta para el coleccionismo, duró poco tiempo, ya que a veces destruía hasta la carta, al traspasarla, con el natural disgusto de los destinatarios, funcionó desde 1876 hasta 1877, por las protestas públicas.
