Early 20th-century French table. Richly inlaid furniture with walnut, palisander, maple, ebonized wood, rosewood and fruitwood. Desk finished for the center features a generously sized front drawer and a wooden top of excellent size and function. The top is of excellent workmanship, with a fabulous oval inlay featuring musicians and dancing figures (see photo).
The top is edged in gilded brass (see photo). The desk rests on four sturdy legs with a central inlaid joint, with some veneer loss (see photo). A living room, parlor, or study table, for antique dealers and interior decorators. The table has a beautiful patina, requiring restoration and polishing. Structurally sound, it shows some signs of aging and small losses. Overall, it is in fair condition.
