Descripción:

- Grabado correspondiente a la Lámina 19 de Arquitectura, perteneciente a la Enciclopedia Popular Ilustrada de Ciencias y Artes, realizada por Federico Gillman, y formada con arreglo a la Enciclopedia Iconográfica y el Conversations Lexicon de Alemania.

- En el grabado aparecen grandes edificaciones de la antigüedad, tales como: Teocalli en México, puerta de Labnah, Tusapan, palacio de Uxmal, etc.

- En el margen superior tiene el título “ARQUITECTURA”, y en el ángulo superior derecho tiene impreso “Lam. 19”, lo que lo identifica como el Grabado número 19 de una serie sobre arquitectura.

- En el margen inferior se sitúan las identificaciones de las diferentes edificaciones que aparecen en el grabado, como una decoración mural de una sala en el palacio de Mitla, palacio de las monjas de Uxmal, etc.

- Grabado Calcográfico al aguafuerte sobre acero, aunque también podría haberse utilizado otra técnica distinta.

- Realizado en tono monocolor negro, muy bien de tinta, centrado con aceptables márgenes y con una buena estampación.

- Que el Grabado tenga algún Distintivo, Marca o Contraste, es de gran importancia para poder identificar datos como su grabador, el dibujante, el sitio donde se imprimió y otros detalles.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- Estado General Bueno.

- El Grabado tiene un papel de espesor medio y regular calidad.

- El papel está algo sucio, pero apenas tiene manchas de óxido.

- El Grabado tiene pequeños rotos y dobleces en los bordes y las puntas.

- Si se le aplica una limpieza, el resultado podría ser muy aceptable.

- Engraving corresponding to Plate 19 of Architecture, belonging to the Popular Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Science and Arts, produced by Federico Gillman, and based on the Iconographic Encyclopaedia and the Conversations Lexicon of Germany.

- The engraving shows large ancient buildings, such as: Teocalli in Mexico, the gate of Labnah, Tusapan, the palace of Uxmal, etc.

- The upper margin bears the title ‘ARCHITECTURE’, and the upper right corner is printed with ‘Lam. 19’, which identifies it as Engraving number 19 in a series on architecture.
