Magnífico grabado romántico firmado en la zona inferior derecha por Armand Berton, pintor decimonónico francés. Exquisita técnica, después de la estampación ha sido acuarelado, solo en dos tonos, consiguiendo así una pintura de gran delicadeza. Se representa a una joven ataviada con ropa burguesa, que se mira al espejo mientras se arregla la lazada de su sombrero. De rasgos serenos y manos gráciles, esta escena intimista es propia de la producción artística del autor. La obra está enmarcada y rematada con cristal.

Armand Berton (1854 - 1927) fue un pintor y grabador parisino nacido en 1854 y fallecido en 1927 en Larousse. Durante su trayectoria artística obtuvo la medalla de oro de los artistas franceses en 1900. También se le condecoró como caballero de la legión de Honor en el mismo año. Su obra pictórica se puede encontrar en museos como Bayeux, Mulhouse, París, Rouen, etc.
