Cristóbal Gabarrón (1945-)

Cristóbal Gabarrón nació en Mula, Murcia, en 1945, pero pronto se asentó en Valladolid, aunque su formación está influida por sus viajes por Francia, Italia y Nueva York, donde ha residido largas temporadas.

Su obra está marcada por una visión antropocéntrica, toma siempre el humanismo como hilo conductor: el hombre, la vida y el desarrollo de los valores humanos son algunos de sus temas predilectos. Algunas de sus obras son homenajes a la convivencia pacífica entre culturas. Durante su trayectoria, se ha servido de diferentes disciplinas artísticas: realiza esculturas, pinturas, crea escenografías, montajes monumentales…

Actualmente es considerado uno de los artistas más representativos de las últimas generaciones de artistas españoles. Reconocido a nivel internacional, sus trabajos han sido expuestos en prestigiosas ciudades europeas y americanas, como Miami, Nueva York, Madrid,Gdansk, Lisboa, Saint Paul de Vence, Valladolid, Murcia, Coruña, Santiago de Compostela o Valencia. También ha colaborado con organismos internacionales como las Naciones Unidas.

Cristóbal Gabarrón (1945-)

Cristóbal Gabarrón was born in Mula, Murcia, in 1945, but soon settled in Valladolid, although his training is influenced by his travels through France, Italy and New York, where he has resided for long periods.

His work is marked by an anthropocentric vision, always taking humanism as a common thread: man, life and the development of human values are some of his favorite themes. Some of his works are tributes to the peaceful coexistence between cultures. During his career, he has used different artistic disciplines: he makes sculptures, paintings, creates sets, monumental montages...

He is currently considered one of the most representative artists of the last generations of Spanish artists. Recognized internationally, his works have been exhibited in prestigious European and American cities, such as Miami, New York, Madrid, Gdansk, Lisbon, Saint Paul de Vence, Valladolid, Murcia, Coruña, Santiago de Compostela or Valencia. He has also collaborated with international organizations such as the United Nations.
