Descripción:

- Grabado Sepulcro de Fredegonda.

- En el grabado aparece el Sepulcro de Fredegunta. Reina franca de Neustria, su vida transcurrió entre una serie de asesinatos y guerras contra la reine Brunegilda.

- Todos los títulos y firmas están fuera de la plancha.

- Augustin François Lemaître: Grabador, litógrafo, diseñador, editor y fotógrafo francés. Representó muchos paisajes, monumentos, arquitecturas y personas, especialmente durante sus numerosos viajes por Europa

- En el margen superior tiene la leyenda “FRANCIA (Monumentos Merovingios) – FRANCE (Monuments Merovingiens)”.

- En el margen inferior tiene la leyenda “Tombeau de Fredegonde – Sepulcro de Fredegonda”.

- En el ángulo superior derecho tiene impreso el número “158”, lo que hace suponer que el Grabado es el número 158 de una serie.

- Grabado Calcográfico al aguafuerte sobre acero, aunque también podría haberse utilizado otra técnica distinta.

- Probablemente es un Grabado perteneciente a un libro.

Conservación y desperfectos:

- Estado General: Bueno.

- Esta muy bien de tinta, y tiene una buena estampación.

- Realizado en tono monocolor negro, muy bien de tinta.

- Tiene buenos márgenes, tanto superior e inferior, como laterales.

- El Grabado tiene un papel de espesor medio grueso y regular calidad, pegado por las esquinas a otro papel.

- El Grabado está sucio, teniendo los bordes bastante más sucios, con pequeñísimos rotos, y las puntas levemente deterioradas con ligeros doblados. Tiene pequeñas manchas de humedad y óxido.

- Si se le aplica un ligero lavado y blanqueado, el resultado sería muy bueno.

Comentarios:

- Las Medidas son aproximadas.

- Grabado ideal como elemento decorativo.

- Los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

Description:

- Engraving Sepulchre of Fredegonda.

- The engraving shows the Sepulchre of Fredegunta. Frankish Queen of Neustria, her life was spent amidst a series of assassinations and wars against Queen Brunegild.

- All the titles and signatures are outside the plate.

- Augustin François Lemaître: French engraver, lithographer, designer, publisher and photographer. He depicted many landscapes, monuments, architecture and people, especially during his many travels in Europe.

- In the upper margin is the legend "FRANCE (Monuments Merovingiens) - FRANCE (Monuments Merovingiens)".

- In the lower margin is the legend 'Tombeau de Fredegonde - Sepulchre of Fredegonde'.

- In the upper right-hand corner is printed the number "158", which suggests that the engraving is number 158 of a series.

- Chalcographic etching on steel, although another technique could also have been used.

- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.

Conservation and damage:

- General condition: Good.

- The ink is very good and the print is well stamped.

- It is in single-colour black, with very good ink.

- It has good margins, both at the top and bottom, as well as on the sides.

- The engraving has a medium thick paper of regular quality, glued by the corners to another paper.

- The engraving is dirty, and the edges are much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips are slightly deteriorated with slight bends. It has small damp and rust stains.

- If a light washing and bleaching were applied, the result would be very good.
