Descripción:

- Grabado de la Torre de Rocinto de Felipe Augusto en la calle Pavee de París, Francia (S.XIII).

- Se trata de una de las torres del muro de Felipe II Augusto, construida en París entre los años 1190 y 1209.

- En el margen superior tiene la leyenda “Francia S. XIII. – France XIII. S” “264D346”.

- En el margen inferior tiene la leyenda “Torre del Rocinto de Felipe Augusto en la calle Paveé de Paris” “Tour de L’ Enceinte de Philippe Auguste, rue pavée à París”.

- En el ángulo inferior derecho, fuera de la imagen, está la firma ‘Lemaitre Direxit’, el grabador. En el ángulo inferior izquierdo, fuera de la imagen, está la firma ‘E. Breton del’, el dibujante.

- Grabado probablemente realizado con plancha de acero al aguafuerte, aunque también podría haberse utilizado otra técnica distinta.

- Realizado en tono monocolor negro. El entintado de la plancha es bueno, y tanto la calidad como la definición de las líneas también es buena, por lo que responde a una tirada temprana.

- Probablemente es un Grabado perteneciente a un libro, por lo que podría haber estado encuadernado.

 

Conservación y desperfectos:

- Estado General: Bueno.

- Los márgenes son suficientes con bordes enteros y sin roturas, pliegues o doblados. El Grabado tiene un papel de espesor fino y regular calidad, pegado por las esquinas a otro papel.

- El papel está un poco amarillento, con algunas marcas de óxido. - El Grabado ha sufrido humedad, por lo que el papel tiene manchas de humedad y puntos de óxido, todo ello más acusado según nos acercamos a los bordes.

- Si se le aplica un ligero lavado y blanqueado, el resultado sería muy bueno.

 

Comentarios:

- Las Medidas son aproximadas.

- Grabado ideal como pieza de colección y elemento decorativo.

- Que el Grabado tenga algún Distintivo, Marca o Contraste, es de gran importancia para poder identificar datos como su grabador, el dibujante, el sitio donde se imprimió y otros destalles.

- Debido a que es inevitable las diferencias de tonalidades entre fotos y realidad, se debe tener presente que los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son exactamente iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

Description:

- Engraving of the Rocinto Tower of Philip Augustus in the Rue de Pavee in Paris, France (13th Century).

- This is one of the towers on the wall of Philip II Augustus, built in Paris between 1190 and 1209.

- At the top it has the legend "France S. XIII. - France XIII. S" "264D346".

- On the lower margin is the legend "Tower of the Rocinth of Philip Augustus in the Paveé street of Paris" "Tour de L' Enceinte de Philippe Auguste, rue pavée à Paris".

- In the lower right corner, outside the image, is the signature 'Lemaitre Direxit', the engraver. In the lower left corner, out of the image, is the signature 'E. Breton del', the cartoonist.

- The engraving was probably made with an etching plate, although a different technique could have been used.

- Made in black monochrome. The inking of the plate is good, and the quality and definition of the lines is also good, so it responds to an early print run.

- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book, so it could have been bound.

 

Conservation and damage:

- General condition: Good.

- Margins are sufficient with full edges and without breaks, folds or creases. The Engraving has a thin and regular quality paper, glued by the corners to another paper.

- The paper is a little yellowish, with some rust marks. - The Engraving has suffered humidity, so the paper has humidity stains and rust points, all of which are more pronounced as we get closer to the edges.

- If you apply a light wash and bleaching, the result would be very good.

 

Comments:

- Ideal as a collector's item and a decorative element.

- That the engraving has some Distinctive, Mark or Contrast, is of great importance to be able to identify data like its engraver, the drawer, the place where it was printed and other details.
