Luis Ignacio de Horna García (Salamanca 1942) más conocido sobre el nombre de Luis de Horna, es un ilustrador español de literatura infantil y juvenil.

Se dedica desde muy joven a la ilustración y a la pintura porque es en 1959, aunque tenía 17 años que hizo sus primeras exposiciones. Después de un viaje a Londres, donde encontraba pintores ingleses y húngaros con quien ha hecho exposiciones colectivas e individuales, regresó a España y en ese momento, encontró a Germán Sánchez Ruipérez que le da la dirección artística de las ediciones Anaya. Para seguir en su idea de ilustraciones, siguió clase a la Universidad de Sevilla para tener una licenciatura en Bellas Artes.

Además de su trabajo de ilustrador y de su puesto en las ediciones Anaya, le gustaría tocar a la escritura, lo que le parece la continuación lógica de su talento de pintor y de ilustrador.

En respeto con su faceta de pintor, ha realizado muchas exposiciones, tanto en España como en el extranjero donde pueden verse sus obras en algunos museos y ha ilustrado a varios autores del panorama nacional e internacional.

Luis Ignacio de Horna García (Salamanca 1942), better known as Luis de Horna, is a Spanish illustrator of children's literature.

He dedicates himself very early to illustration and painting because it was in 1959, although he was 17 years old when he made his first exhibitions. After a trip to London, where he found English and Hungarian painters with whom he has made collective and individual exhibitions, he returned to Spain and at that moment, he found Germán Sánchez Ruipérez who gives him the artistic direction of the Anaya editions. To continue with his idea of ​​illustrations, he followed a class at the University of Seville to have a degree in Fine Arts.

In addition to his work as an illustrator and his position in the Anaya editions, he would like to touch on writing, which seems the logical continuation of his talent as a painter and illustrator.

In respect to his facet as a painter, he has made many exhibitions, both in Spain and abroad where his works can be seen in some museums and has illustrated several authors from the national and international scene.
