Descripción:

- Pequeña escultura de Peltre representando a un Monje, con un gesto de grito o susto, en una sutil representación caricaturesca del personaje.

- La situamos en la Primera Mitad del S.XX. Es maciza y realizada de una sola pieza.

- La calidad artística es muy buena, con un resultado magnífico, destacando sus particulares proporciones caricaturescas y el espectacular movimiento que transmite su contemplación.

- La escultura está realizada con bastante detalle y cuidada terminación, no presentando desperfectos superficiales.

- Conserva un baño con apariencia de níquel o cromo. Aunque no se ha analizado, en nuestra opinión es níquel, que aunque se haya conservado en gran parte, tiene faltas por toda la figura. Esta circunstancia, junto con el propio desgaste de las partes más expuestas, le proporciona una pátina muy atractiva.

- En su base tiene - lo que parece ser - el Contraste “PELTRO”, lectura a la que (en nuestra opinión) hemos llegado a pesar de que no se distingue bien. Peltro en italiano corresponde a Peltre en Español, una aleación de estaño, cobre, antimonio y plomo, por lo que hemos deducido que su procedencia es muy probablemente italiana.

- De este tipo de pequeñas esculturas, se han hecho muy pocas con buena calidad artística. Esta figura formó parte de un grupo de Monjes con distintas posturas. De hecho, nosotros disponemos de otra figura con una postura de sorpresa o cansancio.

Comentarios:

- Tanto las Medidas, como el Peso, son aproximados.

- Muy interesante como pieza de colección y elemento decorativo.

- Debido a que es inevitable las diferencias de tonalidades entre fotos y realidad, se debe tener presente que los tonos de los colores de las fotos no son exactamente iguales a los tonos de los colores reales.

- El Objeto presenta el desgaste propio de su tiempo, así como algunas manchas. Tiene pequeños desperfectos.

Description:

- Small Pewter sculpture representing a Monk, with a gesture of shout or fright, in a subtle caricature representation of the character.

- The sculpture is located in the First Half of the 20th century.

- The sculpture is solid and made in one piece.

- The artistic quality is very good, with a magnificent result, highlighting its particular cartoony proportions and the spectacular movement that its contemplation transmits.

- The sculpture is made in quite detail and carefully finished, with no surface damage.

- Keep a nickel or chrome-look bathroom. Although it has not been analyzed, in our opinion it is nickel, which although it has been largely preserved, is missing throughout the figure. This circumstance, together with the wear of the most exposed parts, provides it with a very attractive patina.

- At its base it has - what appears to be - the “PELTRO” Contrast, a reading that we have reached (in our opinion) despite not being well distinguished. Peltro in Italian corresponds to Pewter in English, an alloy of tin, copper, antimony and lead, so we have deduced that its origin is most likely Italian.

- Of this type of small sculpture, very few have been made with good artistic quality. This figure was part of a group of Monks with different positions. In fact, we have another figure with a posture of surprise.

Comments:

- Both the Measures and the Weight are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collection piece and decorative element.

- Because the differences in shades between photos and reality are inevitable, it should be borne in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colors.

- The Object presents the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small damage.
