Darlington, for forty years theatre critic of the Daily Telegraph and intimate friend and golf partner of Milne's. 'Now we are six' is dedicated to his daughter, Anne. This poem would have been read to her first from this copy. Covers lightly foxed and soiled, original staples rusted but intact,faint diagonal crease across the pages.
