The games are given with exceptionally fine notes by Osbun. Roger Chapman of Australia won ahead of Claude Pare (Canada), Max Salm (Australia), Chris Van Dyke (USA), David Eisen (USA), and 12 other top notch postal players from North America and the Pacific.

There were three ICCF IM_s Muir, Tennant, and Salm and three (Glaser, Keast, and Henri) who have played on Olympic teams. Salm has played in three World Championships. However, two of the unknowns, Chapman and Pare took first and second places.Despite the great number of high-class postal chess games played around the world, the literature of correspondence chess is rather meager. Many of the games are full of twists and turns and excitement with good explanations by IM Osbun.

This book is sure to be seen as a significant addition to postal chess documentation.
