Encima de la bandeja se encuentran dos tinteros con sus tapas y en medio el recipiente para la arena secante, un elemento esencial en la época para absorber la tinta derramada.

La bandeja tiene las siguientes medidas: 28,3 cm x 17,2 cm x 4.5 cm.

The central hallmark features a crown with an X, below it are a shield with the initials I P, a shield with a cherub, a shield with a lion and the last one with a shield with a peacock. Above the tray are two inkwells with their lids and in the middle is the container for drying sand, an essential element at the time to absorb spilled ink.
